We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individuals to join our team as a Trainee Accountant. The successful candidates will be given the opportunity to work with experienced professionals and receive hands-on training in all areas of accounting, including bookkeeping, tax preparation, and financial reporting. In addition, the successful candidate must hold or be in the process of completing an AML (Anti-Money Laundering) certificate.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports
Recording and maintaining accurate financial records
Performing bookkeeping duties, such as reconciling bank statements and accounts
Assisting with the preparation of tax returns
Learning and applying accounting principles, policies, and procedures
Communicating with clients and other stakeholders to gather information and resolve issues
Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Providing administrative support as needed
Adhering to anti-money laundering regulations and procedures
Requirements:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
Hold a current AML (Anti-Money Laundering) certificate
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
A desire to learn and grow as a professional
Experience with accounting software, such as Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB is an advantage
