We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Actuarial Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with our team of actuaries and underwriters to provide accurate and insightful analysis of insurance and risk-related data.
As an Actuarial Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting in-depth analysis of insurance data, including policy information, claims data, and demographic factors, to assess risk and develop pricing models.
Assisting in the development and enhancement of actuarial models and tools to support business decision-making processes.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and validate data, ensuring its accuracy and relevance for actuarial analysis.
Assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations to communicate actuarial findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Contributing to the development of underwriting guidelines and pricing strategies based on actuarial analysis.
Monitoring industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and make recommendations for adjustments to actuarial practices.
Participating in ad-hoc projects and initiatives to support the overall growth and success of the actuarial department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in actuarial modelling software (e.g., SAS, R, Python) and Microsoft Excel. Certifications in Investment Risk and Taxation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Solid understanding of insurance principles, including pricing, reserving, and risk assessment.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Actuarial exams (e.g., SOA, CAS) or progress toward actuarial accreditation is a plus.
Experience in the insurance industry or actuarial field is preferred but not required.
